yes, all of our bagels do not contain animal products or by-products

unfortunately due to the amount of wheat in our bakery we currently do not have a facility to produce anything that could claim to be 100% gluten free

not currently, this is something we will happily explore if there is enough demand

our products are safe for pregnant women to consume. however, as with anything to do with health, we all have our own unique circumstances. we would therefore recommend contacting your doctor if you have any concerns

packaging

yes – all the pots used to package the schmear are made from 100% biodegradable PLA material, are fully recyclable + sustainable. polylactic acid is a highly versatile material and is manufactured from 100% renewable resources such as corn, wheat and other products rich in starch

the paper carrier bags are also fully recyclable, made from recycled materials + printed with water-based inks

shop + bakery

yes – there is a ramp, starting from outside the vet, which will allow our disabled customers to enter the shop with ease

yes – there is ample free parking available at battlers green farm

no – bagels + schmear is a takeaway only shop

shelf life / storage

our bagels are freshly baked every morning – in the unlikely situation you have some bagels left over, we recommend eating them within three days of purchasing them + toast them any day after the day they were baked

yes – our bagels freeze really well. little tip for you: slice them in half + put them in a zip lock bag before you put them in the freezer. when you’re ready to eat them, they just need popping straight in the toaster

make sure to keep our schmear refrigerated + consume within three days of purchase
